D'Alquen, Beckenham/Kent/E, richtete eine Anfrage über die
vermutete
medizinische Ausbildung seines Großvaters an das Brighton
College in
Brighton. Dies konnte nicht bestätigt werden, wohl aber
unerwarteter
Weise, dass dessen Cousin, 2. Sohn des Franz Adam
Maria, Henry Jesse
Willibalt D'Alquen das Medizincollege zwischen 1856 und 1859 besucht
hatte. Das bedeutet, dass der junge Mann als ausgebildeter Mediziner
zwischen 1859 und 1860 nach Australien übersiedelte, von wo er
irgendwann mit Frau und Kindern nach England zurückkehrte. |

D'Alquen,
Your letter
concerning your grandfather's time at Brighton College was passed to me.
I
have looked very carefully through the register for the period 1878 to
1888 but, unfortunately, I have been unable to find any record that
your grandfather attended Brighton College during that period. However,
I also checked the records for several years on either side of that
time period and have found the record for Henry Jesse Willibalt
D'Alquen who attended the College between 1856-59. He is listed as the
son of Franz Maria D'Alquen Esq. of Brighton. Is this your
grandfather's eider brother? l assumed there must be a family
relationship as the name 'D'Alquen' is fairly unusual.
I
am sorry that I have been unable to help you conceming your grandfather
but if there is anything eise you feel I might be able to help you
with, please do not hesitate to contact me.
